Alejandra Rajal is a documentary photographer born and based in Mexico. Her vision focuses mainly on creating awareness to different realities through photographs, aiming to social conscience, empathy and sensibility to others. In 2011 she moved to the UK to live and study for a year as an exchange student and in 2013 she received her Bachelor´s degree in Design and Advertising. After working in an advertising agency in the art department, in 2016 she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a documentary photographer and started to work from scratch. She has had the opportunity to attend to several innovative workshops and grow as a storyteller with the constant feedback. Currently she works as a freelance photographer dividing her time between assignments and her personal projects. For her the necessity to connect with the people she photographs is essential and really devotes to the creative process of each project she works on, to understand the small details and importance of actions and thoughts behind each person.
